Are you seeking more balance in your life? Experience the Dali MingXin Retreat in the beautiful province of Yunnan and immerse yourself in its unforgettable landscapes! This retreat focuses on applying ancient Chinese wisdom to help us understand the deeper connection between our hearts and minds. In today’s fast-paced world, cultivating peace of mind can feel challenging. Yet, through the power of music and sound, we can gently unwind and awaken our inner calm.


You will be guided by four exceptional masters who believe in the transformative power of music to awaken the clarity of one’s heart. Music offers a way to open up and deepen yourself, bringing life to your soul and infinite tranquillity and beauty. In this retreat, you’ll immerse yourself in Chinese Martial Arts, Meditation, Sound Therapy, and more. The goal is to deepen your understanding of the heart and mind and apply these insights to your life.

All classes will be taught in Chinese, but don’t worry—English translation will be available, so don’t let that stop you from a transformative journey. The Dali MingXin Retreat offers a unique experience to discover the peace you’ve been yearning for!

For those seeking a deeper connection, there will be an optional fasting experience. This transformative practice has been known to cultivate profound self-awareness, spiritual insight, and personal growth. It’s a powerful opportunity to reconnect with your physical and mental state. Teacher SanQiang

Teacher SanQiang

Teacher SanQiang is a master of Ancient Whistling Music and Lion Throat Singing and the founder of Chan Whistling and Wuwei Chanting. A pioneer in Contemporary Whistling Art, he has performed worldwide, including at the Golden Hall of Musikverein in Vienna. As an official representative of China’s whistling heritage, he plays a key role in preserving and promoting this ancient art form.

Teacher ShiFang

Teacher ShiFang

Teacher ShiFang’s passion for music and poetry started in childhood, leading him to study both Chinese and Western instruments. With over ten years of experience in Chinese culture and meditation, he discovered the transformative power of sound, inspiring him to create The Fanlai Band and The Heart Music Band. As a Zen Master, ShiFang teaches mindfulness, chanting music, and meditation, guiding hundreds in China to connect with inner peace. His “One Night Sound Journey” offers an immersive experience for spiritual awakening. His mission is to chant the sound of the moon, sharing the healing power of sound with others.

Teacher ZhiYuan

Teacher ZhiYuan

Teacher ZhiYuan’s 20-year music career spanned rock, jazz, and pop music, but it was in 2016 that he found his true calling after discovering the Shakuhachi flute. This moment sparked his journey to mastering the instrument. His compositions reflect his deep connection to sound and spirituality. Teacher ZhiYuan now shares the peaceful resonance of the Shakuhachi flute, guiding others to connect with life’s tranquil rhythm.

Teacher ShuiMu

Teacher ShuiMu is a seasoned dance artist who has participated in numerous international art festivals and exchange events. As a Heart Dancer and movement therapist, he deeply understands the nature of the mind and the activation of the heart. Through his practice of the “Heart Method,” Teacher ShuiMu guides others to connect with their inner selves, using dance and movement to foster emotional healing and spiritual growth.

Inside XinYueGuan, shared accommodation in twin-bed rooms is provided; the rooms
are simple, clean, and functional. For an additional fee, somewhat bigger rooms are available within short walking distance, in a nearby guesthouse.

The teachers open their doors to us, to enter a quiet, warm, and peaceful space where
we can connect with ourselves, in search of a better understanding of our hearts and minds.
The house and its surroundings will give us the needed quietness and the necessary air to breathe.

Through daily walks in the village, or along the lakeshore, we can immerse ourselves into the simple lifestyle of the villagers, away from stress, noise, and big city hustle.
